Funpidgin是Pidgin的一个分支,他们其中有些以前也是pidgin的开发者,可是因为某些原因,分道扬镳.在开源软件行业,可以说是很正常的事情.不过Funpidgin的理念可能更加好些吧.
What makes us different from the official client, is that we work for you. Unlike the Pidgin developers, we believe the user should have the final say in what goes into the program.
这样的想法很好,不过对于Funpidgin的前途总是有些担心,毕竟pidgin已经存在这么长时间了,而且pidgin的宣传力度很大.Funpidgin的目标人群有些不太确定.不过感觉这样也好,有个竞争,都有的发展.说不定将来会重新走到一块的.
